Cool Order placed...now I play the waiting game...

After my defensive driving class today, I stopped by the dealer at which I took a GT for test drive 3 weeks ago. I just needed 2 answers, could I order factory and could I use my X-Plan.

Yes and yes.

Alloy GT Prem, Charcoal Int., 5-AT, Woven Dash, AAT, Side Bags, Comfort Group, IUP, and my fav from my '03, remote start.

I'm gonna pick up my 18" black bullitts on delivery.

I'm looking at my order confirmation sheet - Order No: 0001 Priority: 40

I assume that's good, (from what I'm read...) I'm hoping for April

Yep, April sounds likely.

Congrats!

My dealer was kind enough to throw in a couple free-bees when I placed my order that they don't give to the customers that buy off the lot. He included with the order several sleepless nights, chewed off fingernails, spots off missing hair and a roll of Tums.
Congrats, it's worth the wait

if i change my mind about not getting the black bullitts from the dealer, anyone know where I could get a good price on a set on 18x8.5?

I'll second that...I love this car more every day! Less than two weeks, 800 miles!

Oh, and after I get new rims, how's the process of getting the TPMS off the stock to the new ones? straight forward?, or no?

I don't mean to burst your bubble, but since no one was mentioned it, I think I should. Your order # is whatever they use, but the priority number they gave you isn't good at all. When an order is in the 40 range, your order will sit for a while. I ordered a GT for a fellow member here, using X-Plan, and we gave it a priority 10, and it got scheduled within a few weeks, once we had the allocation. A priority of 40 will leave your order in the system for a bit (unless they have dozens of retail Mustang orders, and are using each number from 10 on up for each car). By chance, what was the delivery time they quoted you? I would ask them if they can change it for you to a lower number if you can.

Well, my car is Order No. 6399, Priority 40, and it's due to arrive the last week of this month. Build on it began Monday.

Don't kill the messenger. Its been repeated on here many times over, and the best priority number is 10. The higher the number, the longer it will sit in the order banks before being pulled for production.

Hollywood, btw, when did you order your car?

The waiting game is killer. You'll learn the VOPC in & out by heart as well. Once it gets here it'll all be worth it.

Brian that is so true. When I have a bad day at work, I take my car out, and within 5 minutes, I have a smile on my face, and forgot everything that happened earlier in the day.

Exactly ! I've had mine now just over 6 months and I still look back at the car after I get out and smile... I'm still not used to people coming up to me or honking or rolling down windows to tell me "nice car". The days worries disappear with the exhaust note.

Oh yeah... cmplxlgc post pics when you get it.
