Opinions on Hood Needed!!!

I did this real quick, crappy chop of this hood I have available to me, it will look a little better and more proportionate of course since the real hood is made for the 05 and this one was taken off of a 99, but you get the idea. I kind of like it but once again am stuck not being completely 100% sold on it. What do you guys think?

actually I think that the scoops on the 05 are further down on the hood closer to the front end but maybe by only a couple of inches 4 or 5 tops, but I couldnt get the chop to strecth that far without making it look fatter

no worries thats why I am posting Im not sure about it myself. I think it would look a lot better with a body kit looks out of place with stock bumper, but also remember this is a chop, the real hood would look cleaner, just imagine something like this

I saw the 05 hood it looks like this just with the alterations that I stipulated, the problem is this is the only one in existance and its not painted yet so until I get it and paint it I wont know what it will look like hence the chop

Hm, not sure how well that is gonna mesh with the S-197 lines. Might be worth a shot though.

It has its good points. I'm looking for the same type of hood.
Most that I've seen have too much vertical from the fender surface.
They look good on the SN95, but not on the S197.
The PS that you did seems to have less rise which is nice.
Post pics if you decide to go with it.

thats because the one I am talking about is the first one, I am thinking of perhaps getting it painting it and putting it on and if I dont like it once on then take it off and sell it immediately and hopefully make my money back, problem would then be to find someone who wants it who has a black car

+1. If you decide to go for it, I think you're right that you'd need a body kit or at least a GT/CS front bumper to balance it out. Otherwise I think it might look top heavy.

Well you never know... I might like it when you fit it all up and paint it... but then again I might not... If I did I would def take it off your hands though
