Opinions on emblem?

I like the pony and tribar better than that GT emblem there. But, I would be hesitant to put either one, as I wouldn't want them to go flying during an air bag deployment. I imagine either would be quite dangerous.

That's why I placed mine below the air bag. Wherever it suits people.

I did consider the air bag before sticking the badge on there. The badge is plastic, and weighs 4 grams. It is attached using the same 3m tape as the fender badges, there is no way the badge weighs enough to break loose upon air-bag deployment. Even if it did, the bag deploys from the middle of the two panels, such that the lower panel hinges down.
While I’m not an engineer or an auto safety expert, I’m not too concerned with these breaking loose during an airbag deployment. If it was a metal badge, I might feel differently!

I like the tri-bar as well, but I think that I'm going with the Mustang script. I'm no physics expert, but I don't believe that any emblem, attached with quality tape on either the upper or lower panel, will fly around in the cab during a collision. I've seen an photo of a deployed airbag on the Stang. It explodes through the middle seam between the two hinged panels. It would appear that as long as nothing is covering the area where the two panels meet horizontally, it should be OK. I may be wrong... other opinions are welcome. I definitely don't want to cause further injury if I'm wrong. That might also be the reason why Ford decided to leave that area plain; without anything that may pose as a projectile...

It think the tri-bar on the dash is overkill since the steering wheel already has the tri-bar. I put tri-bar on the side and replaced the GT emblems because I have a side stripe that says GT300, again I thought that 2 GT emblems on the side was overkill. JMO~

I did the same thing on my '03. I had "Mustang GT" on the rocker panel and bought the 40th Anniversary emblems to put on the fenders. I do kinda like the Tri-Bar on the dash... but would have to see it with the steering wheel.

The pony badges on the fender look much better than the GT emblems, especially for the faux gas cap on the trunk. It would be nice if one could order the GT built with those parts from the V6 instead as part of the spoiler delete option. Think "sleeper".

best placement
My guess is that anything placed on the airbag "blow away /deployment" panel is a potential projectile in your face... Not Good!...

Looks good.
I changed out the GT fender emblems for the Tri-Bar running pony ones too. I wasn't going for the sleeper look though, just liked the look better.
I can honestly say there isn't a day that goes by when I'm out driving that someone doesn't make a comment about my car being a V6. When driving past people and they're checking out the car I've heard, "that's not a GT" and "pshh.. just a V6". One time while running at Englishtown a group of guys came up to me in the staging lanes. They said they were up in the stands, saw me run and had to come down to see my car because they never saw a V6 run that fast before.
I should also mention my licesne plate the state randomly assigned to me begins with "V6". Guess that has something to do with it too.
