Guys, take a look at this picture. I got this pic from the service manual. There is a black arrow that I moved. The black arrow used to point to the notches that show where to jack the car up using the factory jack. You can clearly see that notch.

When I was at the firestone getting a tire rotation I noticed the guy jacked my car up in the spot where the arrow is now pointing. Basically he jacked it up at the lower control arm connector to the frame. I know that the service manual does not want this to be a jacking point.

Do you think there could be any damage from this? It feels pretty solid, but it I am a paranoid freak!

You will be fine, you positive it was there anyhow? I dont know about the knew mustangs since I havent had it on a lift yet, but my old one(2002) had special places underneath the unibody to place a lift.

The notched places are meant for that stupid scissor jack, not to be put on a lift at, well at least on my 02, some stupid grease monkey at a tire place put my car on a lift using the notched portion and fing caven in part of the body panel

No harm done IMO. I've done this many times over the past year or so.

Yes I am positive. I looked at it while it was lifted with the floor jacks. He did this on both sides. When I realized where it was I got pretty mad. They lifted it with floor jacks because all of the bays were filled up.

Anyhow, I am glad there isn't too much of a risk in this location. It would be a shame for it to get trashed from jacking it in that location, since the correct location is 2 inches away!

I imagine it would not be an easy repair.

Thanks for your reply. I appreciate it.
