Open headers?

I'm contemplating on removing my exhaust from my 07 V6. I know I'll lose a bit of torque but the sound is just amazing. Ive also been thinking about buying a flowmaster A/T exhaust but I'm running low on cash due to a clutch kit I have to save up for by next week. The muffler isn't top priority on my build list at all so I want to know if I should eliminate the exhaust and go open headers, or wait a while and just get the flowmaster?

Just make sure your front two o2 sensors stay in the exhaust. They control your a/f ratio
