Talking

So how old are you, and how well do you know your Mustangs?
Do you know on which years, and where the original versions these emblems were used?
I had ordered them before I got the car, but I had no idea how much work they were going to require for this application :bang:
I also played with different variants of the striping, the goal was to bring some of the red to the outside in a fairly subtle way. "Less is more", Bauhaus and all of that...
I finally ended up using two 1/16" stripes, with a 1/16" space between.
What do you all think?

Here is a last one of the entire car, unfortunately it's hard to see the stripes with the reflections.

Very nice...I'd like to do something similar, except with a 281 emblem much like this:

I'm gonna go with 67-69.

Would have been really retro if you could have put the GT on the wheels

Kind of looks like the GT from the center cap of a 69 gt wheel. Or the GT emblem from a 67 with a pop open gas cap.... Just a couple guesses. I like it!!

How about the exact emblem with "245" on top of the "V" for us sixers. that would be sweet......It's no attempt to "copy" anything just showing displacement and the V configuration engine. I'd put them on.

Paul, I like your badge, first one I've seen, unique...

You both pretty much have it! 1968-1969 Mustang GT wheel cap.
The big problem is that they are white metal, and curved to follow the contour of the concave hub cap. Big job to get them flat, and then mask and repaint.

I am normally not a pin stripe fan, but I have to say your set up changes my mind. It's just right.

Nice job on the emblems.
