If I remember correctly, recently someone with inside info posted that Sept. 23 would be the initial "OK to ship" meeting held by Ford. In other words, this was the earliest possible date that Ford would make a decision to begin shipping the new Stang. If they elected to postpone shipment, I believe the next "OK to ship" meeting would be in another two weeks. Anyone have an update ?

Can anyone here confirm or deny this info:
Over on Stangnet someone is saying Herb Chambers Ford just got a Truckload of Mustangs in.

For the record that established fact was initial allocation was 2 per dealership, large dealerships getting 4.
I dont believe this.

No I did'nt beleive it either. I did a search of name and visited a Web Site. There were no 05's listed in there inventory yet. There was a toll free # I started to call and ask.

However I heard about a Sep 22 or 23 meeting of the Ford execs to determine shipment status. I would be interesting if our insiders could provide any information they can about that supposed meeting?

I think we need to have "Amy V6" drive by those lots everyday and see if they are coralling those ponies into any trains or trucks...
Good Pics Amy! Keep it up!
BTW: Amy can do a count of those ponies? Everyday?

I found this post dated September 8, 2004, 2:46 AM by 2MustangJohn:
Hope this is really true!
I heard that we are trying for the 23rd as the actual ship date

I wonder if those two dealerships I talked to weren't mistakin when they said they'll get the Mustang "this week"....hmmm, I got some calls to make...
Edit: From the e-mail from the Fleet Manager at Village Ford...
The other place, North Aurora Ford, called me and said they'll be in 'this week"...

The first Mustang is due in this week. I am off on Thursdays, but will be in all day Friday from 9-9.

Ok, here is a map of driving times from Chicago for a delivery truck...pretty good estimate at how long it will take a truck or train to get from Dearborn to wherever...
Red is one day, blue two days, orange three, green four days, and purple is five

Man, the rumors and speculation is flying now. I'll believe it all when I see it all.

Well, according to your map, my dealer was accurate in regards to the time it'll take for my car to ship from Dearborn to Florida. Great info!
