A speedometer that reads higher than 140 on gt. heck, a base 300 6 cylinder has a 140mph speedometer. I know i'm knit picking, but little things drive me batty.

Even the Roush's have a 140 mph speedometer. As far as I know, Saleen is the only one that is different; 200 mph.

It actually goes up to 145, but when the car is limited to 143, why would Ford put in a speedo that reads higher?

People like 0's and 5's on the end of their speedometer.

I was under the impression from a magazine I read a few months ago that top speed was 150. I checked online and see most articles showing the 143. I suppose if you have a few mods you'll take it over the 143 on a track. I know, ford isn't worrying about our mods. Anyway, it would look faster then.

It's actually governed at 143, so you will need to take care of that to get it faster than 143.

The numbers are crammed in there enough as it is. If you add any more numbers in there, it would be hard to tell how fast you are actually going.

Speedos? We don't need no stinkin' speedos. When I wet my pants... that's when I know I've hit top speed!

You don't have time to look at the speedo after you hit 140, things are happenin too fast outside to be lookin inside. B)
