Our webmaster at work told me this yesterday.

His whole family was in town this weekend for Easter and because his grandmother is dying. His cousin, who is a Ford salesman in North Carolina, drove his new Mustang down. He told our webmaster that it was the new 2005 model.

I showed the webmaster the photo below and asked if this was like his cousin's car.



He said no, and said his cousin said it was a 2005.

I asked if it was like this:



He said yes, but with lights in the grille.

He said it was like the photo below, but it was a black convertible. What gives?

 

already? early release to capitalize on all the buzz?

I would guess mule...but how and why would it look like a production vert? Did he "borrow" it from Ford before it could get on the show circuit??? LOL, some Ford exec is probably pretty pissed right about now. "Ok, you put the car in the garage, WTH is it now???" heh

I might have believed this story if he had said it was covered in camo. Even all the coupes on the street still have camo, so there's no way they'd allow a 'vert out uncovered.

 

Well, remember the dealer video. It is possible he was allowed to take it for the weekend.

 

Hrm...the red GT in the parking lot? Well, I think that car was in town for an auto show, right? And they never drove it out on the street.

Hey, maybe the guy is right and it was an uncovered 'vert. But it does sound far fetched at the moment.

I have seen every type of 05 coupe pic down to its frame!

I know the verts out there! Brad has the only half way decent pic of one on this sight.

But I just want to know: WHERES THE VERT?
