I just spoke with my dealer about the whereabouts of my car. They (obviously) haven't received it yet. But during our conversation he mentioned that they got a dealer notice or communication about having a "Premier Night", much like they "used to do in the old days" (?) Meaning, they cover all the other cars in the showroom, and "unveil" the new offerings, and it's by special invitation. In other words, if my car comes in today, they will still hold it until that day, October 28th, when they have "Premier Night". He says that their dealership is interpreting the memo this way. NOT SAYING it's gospel truth or anything, just that for this moment that's what they're taking it to mean. I told him okay, AS LONG AS when they get the car, they call me A S A P, so I can come snap some pictures. The dealership is as excited as me about this car, and mine is the very first they ordered, so they say that it has priority. So, I believe that they believe that info to be true. Whew! That was long. Sorry. Could be another un-truism.

Uh, no, I think I'd definitely call BS on that. Once your car gets there, it is YOUR CAR. By then there will be hundreds of them on the roads....

I got an invitation in the mail yesterday for a "Premier Night" on the 19th at Woody Anderson Ford in Huntsville AL, it sounded like a nice deal.

My dealer is Grand Traverse Auto in (of course) Traverse City, Michigan. Their waiting for 2 vehicles, mine and theirs. We'll see. He's promised to let me know the MOMENT it comes in so I can at least go take some pictures. He also assures me that NO ONE will be climbing around in my car! (AND, no stickers!)

I got an invitation in the mail this weekend too. It said "business attire". Does that mean they are going to throw me out if I show up in jeans?????

Premier Night is valid. It will be on October 28th at selected dealers. Dealers in the Detroit Metro area are planned out to have at least one by this date. A dealer in Westland enphasized that this is the metro area only that plans to have at least one at every dealer. If you ordered one from this area, this may be a good sign that yours is coming. I don't think they're actually holding some until this date though, that sounds like BS to me...
