Had her out tonight for the first time in about a month cause of snow and I must say, she's not like her predecessors at all. With this car, when you plant your right foot, NO DRAMA. The car gets the heck up and GOES, no fish tails, no wheels spinning, no nothing. Just flat out MPH in a hurry. It's so straightforward, it's great.

I wish my new V6 were the same. I had it out today in the rain, and it spins wheels like crazy if you get on it too hard if the wheels are on a painted line. I blame it on the tires, not the car itself. My 2002 had toyo T1S tires on it which had excellent traction in the rain. Hopefully I can put some wider, performance tires on it soon.

I defenantly agree. Took a GT out for my first test drive Even with some patchy damp pavement, I got on it pretty good (manual tranny) and was surprised how composed she handled.

My GT doesnt like street paint either, but just like any other woman, steady as she goes is her rule on wet paint....

She loses her tail some after she has had her shoes shined, again, steady and consistent. But, give her some dry shoes, and dry road, and she is there for ya. I too blame the tires, when I get some extra cash, she is getting some good running shoes. Then I am gonna stomp on her on some wet street paint, and see what she does.

Jessica, just be careful. We all know the vicious attitude our babies can have in the moisture. I've already seen more crunched ponies than I want to. We don't need more of them.

If you have read my posts then you would know I have. Sorry for making a joke on the internet. I forgot the internet is for serious business.

My four banger ZX2 does not like painted lines either. Not sure if it is just because I have standard or not.

Alrighty then.. Listen folks, Altoid made a freakin joke, I laughed when I read it. Yes, he can be blunt and sarcastic, and sometimes say things that are not the nicest... However, this time there was no call for the two posts that followed it.

Maybe some posters need to take another look when they read his posts... Seriously, if anyone else had posted it, no one would have batted an eye. Ease up folks.

As for stomping her in the rain... I will DEFINTELY be careful.. I wanna keep her body in great shape!

Hey Jessica, just wanted to say I was wondering where you have been hiding lately.

Lane, turn off the traction control and you will see a nice fish tail

The day I got mine and I left more rubber on the road than a bunch of teenagers after prom. Ooops, did I just say that?

You are correct, and I do apologize. Had it not been for the fact that it was Altoid, I would not have made the comment. It was uncalled for.

Adrenalin, you missed me?? I have been working like a mad woman to pay for the mods on the Stang, and the other horse in our family... well, the one I have to pay for my kid to ride, LMAO

Anytime I get free I am DRIVING the living daylights outta my car.

And you are so correct, turn off the TCS, and she can dance! Had a friend take her on a closed road, and yeeeehaw!

I'm having a lot of fun with my '05, smooth and powerful. First sports car I have ever owned and also my first Mustang. Ford did good on this one.

Interesting... I can't say that I have ever heard someone compliment a V8 Mustang for how hard it is to spin the tires... . IMO, if you can't hang light 'em up at 60 mph, you need more power...
