why do you assume it was illegal? maybe someone was gunning it to run a red light to make it after he was starting his U turn. He could have been looking left to make sure it was clear on that side not seeing a car about to plow into him on the right side because he assumed cars would stop when their light was red

He was on the center lane, all other traffic was stopped. I saw him dart out (ran red) when I was 3/4 done with the LEGAL u-turn.
The guy could have stopped easily (It's an older man), I floored it to attempt to evade, but the car did nothing.
It wasn't a perfect t-bone hit, he got me from an angle

Yeah, feels like I only had it for a blink of an eye. I bet you don't look back at the 05 you had eh? I'll definitely step it up on the next Stang.

Heck yes!!! I missed my '90 and had to have another. I thought 09 was going to be it for the Ranger, but apparantly its life has been extended a couple more years.

Ouch man thats rough. Glad you and your friend are ok. Good luck with the new mustang! I hate to sound like a vulture here but Id love to pick up that C&L intake from you. Let me know via PM when you are looking to sell it and how much your looking to get for it.

Thats messed up. Glad you got taken care of by your insurance and that you have a second car. At least you wont have to drive around in a rental that you feel to be substandard and pick up another car note any time soon. The Ranger is pretty sweet too.
