check this out :

Rumor Mill

Preliminary dyno and track testing be media sources are indicating the 5 speed automatic GT as putting down 267 rear wheel horsepower and 280 ft-lbs of torque. The same media test vehicle ran 13.6@100mph on factory radials and the stock 3.33:1 differential ratio. The 5-speed should near the 280 horsepower mark at the wheels and with sticky tires and gears high 12 second ET's would be easily attained.

"easily attained"....sounds promising!

Different breeds but I'm kinda psyched to see how a stock GT will perform against a new M5...data out so far makes them just about even on the 0-60 run. And then the M5 has more than 200 bhp extra to boot...

In the Nov. issue of TopGear mag, as well as reviewing the new Mustang in Vegas they also look at the new M5,
0-62mph in 4.7 secs.
155 mph, restricted
205 mph, derestricted
507 bhp
etc, etc,

i still don't like the Bmw though, just can't get used to the styling of it, i think the new stang is a far better looking car.
