Not built 05's
#1
Let me say one thing......If I ordered in January 2005, and my order does NOT get pulled, my 05' order better recieve priority first build as an 06'---------------if not, then there will be a serious problem...................................
.................any smart mustang decision makers care to comment....because i am not getting in queue after i have been already waiting 4+ months----------------
---and /or 8+months for an 06'

I'm probably going to see how the chips fall, if all else fails then I'm going to my dealership of the 16 and putting in a new order.

c/u since 1/17, owner said on 4/19 that order would not make it as an '05. I found out that there is still allocation of 2 cars to this dealer, mine is first in line, but still might not be built because larger dealers still have priority, plus mine is a vert GT which dealer's rep says they are not building any more of. I will place an '06 order for my car on May 16, and demand at least a 10 priority (I have had 12 this whole time). If by some miracle the '05 happens, so be it. My dealer did say that it is routine for Ford to give special consideration to "held over" orders. Time to sit back and not get worked up about it any more.

We just received our "build out" numbers yesterday. Production of the '05's runs until the 1st week of Aug. We were allocated 8 Mustangs for build out and we currently have 6 sold orders. Hopefully they will all get pulled.
If you have an '05 on order and it does not get pulled, Ford will NOT automatically switch it to an '06 order. That has to manually be done by the dealer.
Also it does not matter what your priority code is at a particular dealership. If you have a 15 and the dealer does not have any orders with a lower number, then yours would theoretically be the next one pulled at that dealer assuming that commodities line up and the dealer has allocation for that weeks "pull".
Good luck to everyone waiting. I understand the frustration. I ordered my new Mustang last August and it is finally being built this week.
