Thought, today was the big day. My car came in and I almost cried. somehow it
got built without, the 1UP, red leather seats, and the spoiler is missing.
I checked the DORA it was ordered correct. I had talked to the regional coustmer
relations pres. last month and he listed my options correctly. How did this happen? has
the factory messed-up.
Well no nanners for me.

I hope this is the only one this happens to.

The window sticker has my name on it. The vin# is the correct one. How could they of

OMG for that big of a mistake, I'd start calling until I made it to the highest exec possible to get your car expedited

 

No dancing nanners maybe. But that is totally bananas what they did to you. That's crazy, i've haven't heard of anyones order being screwed up that bad. you definately need to take this to the top to get a new car made priority. tough break man.

 

I'm sorry to hear that. Ask the dealer about having the options added at Ford's cost.

Hey, but at least you have an 05!!!

 

The interior can be swapped out and the spoiler can be added. Some here have been able to add the IUP also. I would push the dealer and Ford to get it resolved using the car that was delivered. At least you would have a handle on when to expect the final product.
This is really a bummer and I guess everybodies nightmare.

Wow, that is my worst nightmare. As in, I've actually had nightmares about this very thing. I really hope it works out for you *knock on wood*

 

That has really got me worried now. I ordered almost exactly the same car, and my build week was alos the week of 4 April. And with news that almost 7,000 orders will not get built, I am concerned that there will be little chance to have a new car ordered and built correctly. My car is scheduled for arrival next week. This os going to be a nerve wrecking weekend for sure. Sorry they screwed your order up so badly.

What interior package did it come with, leather and ISP? Sorry to hear the news~

Sorry that happened to you. I'd make them reorder it. Like Stangfriik said take it as high up as you have to so you get your car made the way it was ordered. You should still get an 05 if they make it a priority 0. Have them deliver it to your dealer by truck instead of rail. Mine took 10 days to get to St. Louis on the rail. Oh and tell them you want a plan price for your wait.

Sorry to hear that. It really comes down to how bad you want the red seats. If you can live without them, get the IUP and spoiler added free, and you will have your car now. If not, definitely get them to order it again. They will be able to sell a black GT so quick, I'm sure they don't care.

 

That stinks. Make them order you another car and have them pick up the tab on something for making you wait. Sounds like the biggest screw up to date. Sorry for your trouble.

 

im still scared this might happen to mine....with my luck it will but I HOPE TO GOD IT DOESNT!!!! if it does then im gonna have the dealer order every missing part SINCE IM PAYING FOR IT!!!!!!!!

 

yea now im definitely freaked out about this.....cuz putting all this money out then getting something incorrect.....id be pissed and hearbroken at the same times and id have them order every part missing.....and what would be bad is if a car was ordered with IUP and the side airbags then came with no IUP....that means no side airbags

 

If it was truely ford's error, your dealer should be able to get the parts at no cost to you, it is just a simple matter of adding iup, and chainging the seat covers + door panels + spoiler. Talk to your dealer, you have waited long enough for you car.
