I'm really sorry to hear this happened to you. I can understand how disappointed you must be. I would have them build me one exactly as I ordered it. They can give you the highest priority since the factory screwed up and you won't have to wait too long. Hang in there!

If it was truely ford's error, your dealer should be able to get the parts at no cost to you, it is just a simple matter of adding iup, and chainging the seat covers + door panels + spoiler. Talk to your dealer, you have waited long enough for you car.
I agree with Wade. I've seen other people here with so called "expedite" status from Ford and it seemed to me they had to wait longer than anybody to get their car delivered. The dealer can make it right for you with no cost to you.

Bill I'm very sorry to hear about your Mustang ,even with the few missing parts on mine and the wrong back seat this pale's in comparison to yours .I can tell you the dealer I had took the seat that was correct out of another GT for me so I could be on my way and the rest of the parts are on order that were forgotton .I DO Hope that they took pictures of your car and sent it to your regional rep for some answers on why this went so wrong .

Hopefully ford will ship a whole new interior to your dealer and get the spoiler added on for you .I can tell you the other back seat just came in to the dealer for swap out and it took almost a month for it to show up .

Well the dealer is saying he's talking to the regional rep. He'll let me know what
he says monday evening. I don't hold out much hope. He doesn't want to modify this car to my specs(he's just chomping at the bit to have this one to sell to somebody else for
more than my deal was made for). I called the help line but they said their computers
are down and I had to go to work. I emailed a few ford higher ups.
I don't hold much hope at this moment

Well I got an I'm sorry from ford. They are going to reorder my car.
Now I'm back to the waiting game with very little time left. I'll let everybody
know if it gets built again.

thanks for the support

Bill see if you can get your dealer and ford rep's to get you a priority 1 to 9 for the build .Those numbers are for replacment cars in case things go wrong and you should have no trouble getting that I would think .At least it will give you a better chance of getting an 05 replacement quicker.

From Ford. They seemed sincere. They traced my problem to somebody at the dealershiph changed my order 20 days after I place it. I have a priority 02 now
if that's any help.

That's good. I hope it works out OK for you.

BTW, you said the VIN # matched. You actually checked the VIN on the car itself and not just the sticker, right?

That is very, very weird. Well, it sounds like they're trying to make good on it. I hope you don't have to wait too long to get the replacement.

Thought, today was the big day. My car came in and I almost cried. somehow it
got built without, the 1UP, red leather seats, and the spoiler is missing.
I checked the DORA it was ordered correct. I had talked to the regional coustmer
relations pres. last month and he listed my options correctly. How did this happen? has
the factory messed-up.
Well no nanners for me.

I hope this is the only one this happens to.

THANKS FORD
That stinks. I know of a guy, who ironically used to work for Ford in the quality control department, who had his GT delivered with two different colored door panels. One was grey and the other was black.

I guess quality isn't exactly Job 1 anymore.

I had one a-pillar trim piece the wrong color, didn't notice it at first. My dealer took care of it though, I mentioned it when it went for undercoating and they ordered it. When I went to pick up the plates, the part was in and they put it on for me. It was the small triangle piece on the passenger's door, it was light grey instead of black.

That wrong equipment mistake is far worse though, at least they're going to make it right.

Bill,
Really sorry that my worst fear became your reality . I had a bad feeling that this same thing would happen to me when my car arrived. Stay on those guys and don't let up untill they get you the right car!! Best of luck to you..
