Question Noise when engaging clutch in first gear

I did a quick search and didn't see this specifically. I have a 2007 GT w/ 5-sp manual with 600 miles and I noticed today that when I let the clutch out starting in first gear from a stop that I hear a little bit of chatter that lasts about a second or so and then goes away. The slower the engine RPM the more noticable it seems. Should I be concerned?

Also, when I put the car away tiime before last and turned the engine off I had the clutch pedal depressed fully and the car in first gear but at a complete stop, the car made a loud noise like a blower or tubo winding down. I could not get it to repeat since (only tried 3 times). Any ideas? Some freak thing?

Thanks!

I also have an '07 with about 450 miles and I have started noticing the same noise at very low barley rolling speed in first, I don't know if its normal or not, its almost like a gear whining, definitely coming from the tranny.

14,700 miles of the same darn noise. I have had that noise since day 1, mile 1 and my dealer assures me it is fine. I have driven this car all over the US and no issues. So I continue until something gives, but I consider it normal. Why first gear? I have mine do it in reverse too. Maybe something to do with engine spinning and driveline not until a certain point when they just mesh. If you do it from a slow roll in first it does it too, but if you go to second during a slow roll, no noise?

Keep driving them. We'll all go to the dealer together when they let loose!

probably the clutch is glazed. peel out a few times, this usually fixes it. turbine noise is normal. some trans whine/noise is normal, these trannys are noisy! but you bought a mustang a not a benz!
