I'd appreciate any help you guys can give me. I'm not getting power to my passenger side reverse light. It may be my fault because they both worked fine and then I hooked up a backup camera and got power from that light (so it came on when the car was in reverse) and it worked fine.... for a while. Then the camera didn't come on when in reverse so I checked and that light was out. I got my meter and saw that I was getting no power at all to that light (the yellow and white wire)

I have the manual with the backup light wiring diagram but it's not making any sense to me at all. I even tried jumping 12 volts from the working backup light to the yellow and white wire and that didn't work either.... and yes the bulb is good. so I'm guessing it may also be a ground issue?

Also, This has happened a couple times, and then magically the light will start working a couple hours later but this time it's been days and it's still not getting power.

I'm out of ideas, any suggestions?

 

Disconect the backup camera first and then work the issue. The wire to the bad light.....does it come from the other light or from the plug for the harness?
