Nitto INVO or 555 Extremes?

Ok guys I know each tire has been talked about quite a bit but I am about to pull trigger and need opinions as to which will be best for my 06 GT.

Is the extra cost worthwile for the INVO's over the Extremes?

I am running 275/40/18 all the way around and this will be a summer (warm weather) driver.

Any feedback prior to my purchase is appreciated.

John

Really almost the same, I have ran both and couldn't tell much difference In the two either street or strip or track. But I love the looks of the Invo over the 555 if that helps.

Definitely the 555s. the invos don't hold up well when turning. My 555s make my rear tires stick way more than the invos did. especially on fast turns.

Thanks guys. The feedback is great! Cost is not really a factor but every extra dollar I spend on the Mistress is one less I can devote to my Mach and it still has a long way to go...

It's funny you bring it up, I'm in the same boat. I've been running a set of 555 Extreme for two summers now, plenty of tread left but the fronts have developed a flat spot so I've got to replace them. They've been great tires, loads of grip, excellent response, predictable dynamics. The only think I don't like about them is the road noise--because there's a lot of it. I've been reading online opinions on other mustang forums and people had the opposite reaction that the guys above did; they loved their Invo's more than the 555s. Invo is supposed to be a quieter, better riding tire. I'm kind of on the fence
