Thought I would throw together a concept sketch of what John Force's 2005 Mustang Funny Car body may look like. Dave Despain read my email about this on Wind Tunnel on Speed Channel last Monday when Force was on, but he never really revealed when the new car would be out, just that it was currently being wind tunnel tested. Comments?

If this picture doesn't show up, could someone remind what format to post a pic? I can't remember, just guessing. Thanks.

I don't think the 05 would make a good funny car body...

Force has said it more than a few times, that the new body DOES make a great drag car, the aeros are much improved

No, no, that's all wrong.

There's not enough stickers to make it go fast. You gotta have those 50+HP each stickers on it...

Nice drawing!

That's an awesome drawing. As cartoonistic as it appears, it's probably very close to how the car will look. I mean, they totally squashed the look of the SN95 nose, so why not?

This is an 05 I did a while ago and some people thought it looked drag racy so I added some big meats.

Thanks for all the compliments. Yes, I believe this new car will be even better aerodynamically than the 04. Can't wait to see the actual car to see how close I am. I gotta believe it will debut before the end of this season, especially if John wraps up the title early.

The 05 just does not seem like a funny car, unless of course you are thinking of the idea of turning it into a funny car which is indeed funny.
