Awesome job there! That Grabber Orange Mustang was already hot with the orange interior accents and now it is more so!

Awesome, but you need the chin spoiler!

And my TruFiber hood fits like ***. Hmm, it probably has to do with Hardcore Mustangs in SD being a POS shop and screwing me over though. That and they never shipped me back my stock hood, so they pretty much stole from me. Too bad I was in school at the time and didn't have the time/money to deal with them.

I was thinking of Trying one of the Carbon Fiber Chin Spoilers from Trufiber I just did not know
if it would add to the clean look of the car?

What is the Carbon fiber front splitter???? Do you have photos?

I think some of us are calling it a chin spoiler and others call it a splitter. I think in this case its actually more accurately a splitter. I should have said splitter in my first remark.

I've had this hood on my daily driver for two years. It's seen a lot of rain. In that time, water has pooled in my spark plug wells countless times. When it's left to sit, it gets past the rubber COP boots and gets down to the spark plugs. It then causes arcing, which is bad, and rust on the rubber. Blowing the area out with compressed air seems to get it all out, but that's a pain in the ***. I've tried dielectric grease, no joy. I've gone through two sets of COPs because of this, and have spent more than my share of time cleaning water stains off my very expensive built engine.

If you don't believe me now, get out your garden hose and you'll see. I had Trufiber fab me up a set of drains for $80 shipped, haven't installed them yet. They'll direct water somewhere else when I'm done. They make these drains for a reason, ya know.

P.S. To lie (or accuse someone of lying) about this would be the epitome of retarded.

P.P.S. OP, the car looks great!

I said it merely to avoid any possibility of my questions coming across in any way other than it was intended.....curious and concern about something I may or may not be aware of.

That being said.....I still can say....I wash the living hell out of my car....never had one problem yet and yours is the first post I've read that said anyone using these hoods has had this problem occur. I've seen people post about concerns about it...but no mention of it actually causing a problem before. Obviously its been a big enough issue for you that you've had to do something about the problems the water caused over time. Just as obviously its worth posting the info since there are a great many of these hoods out there and it would be something to keep aware of.

Since I dont use mine as a daily driver nor drive it in the rain typically I've never had much of a concern over this but I will gladly pay that much more attention to the possibility now that I know of someone actually having a problem from the water.

Andretti

Also, you have a Venom and I have a GTS-3. Maybe they got smarter between designs and fixed it. Doesn't look like it, though... everything on the Venom's vents looks exactly the same.

It's disappointing because I like being able to see the red fuel rails, but fat -8 lines, etc. from the outside. Sounds petty, but I put a lot of work into what's under the hood, and I like seeing it. Oh well.

Here are a couple pictures of Melloyellow stang with the Trufiber Chin Spolier.

Looks real good. the factory GT 500 spoiler(spliter) would look good too if you don't have any carbon fiber parts any where else. It has a textured finish.

I'm kinda more into blue cars, but man, that is SWEET. great choices on the look, not overdone- just right...those stripes, that frontend, the SHR louvers, the wheels- it all works great together!
