I was fortunate enough to get to use my car to test out a new torque converter that TCI Automotive has just released. It's designed for twin screw/roots type blowers that make alot of lowend torque. The current Street Fighter 3000rpm converter is excellent for naturally aspirated/centrifical blower cars but wastes alot of great torque in a twin screw application. This Super Street Fighter T/C for the 05 and up Mustangs takes advantage of the available lower rpm torque by foot braking (spinning the rear tires while braking) at about 2500 rpm then flashes immediately to about 3500 when you nail it allowing for harder launches on the street and at the track while still maintaining excellent streetability.
