New Member from Austria/Europe...

Hi everyone!

My name is Alex and I'm from Vienna, Austria!

Some time ago I purchased a crased 2005 V6 in Florida on an auction.
It has 490 miles, IUP, red leather interior and so on...

Well, the car is getting ready by now and I have a technical question that noone in Europe might be able to answer.

Here we are direced by government to have amber turn signals also on the back of our cars and this is a tricky thing on the mustang since it's having it combined with the stop lights.
So I bought a set of Euro Style rear lights at http://www.euromustang.co.uk/html/taillights.html and now I'm looking for a clean way to mount them.

I had a look at the wiring harness and recognized that there are two wires on each side from the SJB to the rear stop/turn lights. Does anyone know if there is a possibility to reprogramm the SJB in a way that the turn signals and the stop lights are splitted?

That's how the stang is looking at the moment - ready to be painted....

So, maybe somone can come up with an answer for me, that would be really great!

Best regards from the continent far away,
alex

Alex,
I've seen photos of Mustangs with Amber rear turn signals from the UK i think, but i really can't seem to find them now

i searched the 2007 Workshop manuals, and didn't find any info.
i hope someone from the UK could stop by and help!

p.s: i'm further down than you, and one of my buddies here in Dubai owns a Mustang and is originally from Vienna too

Hi G.T.!!

Regards to your friend!! Lucky guy, Vienna is foggy and dirty at the moment! I hate winters here!!

Well, I also searched the wiring diagramms and manuals regarding this topic without any success. That's why all my hope is in the SJB! Cutting cables as all the other ones are "converting" the electric is the last thing i'd like to do! Even this can cause heavy troubles afterwards.

My tail lights are looking that way (only installed one at the moment!)....

Alex, the ones i've seen only have amber next to the reverse light, horizontally, not like what you've posted

You're correct, however that's for the '96-'98 style Euro's, and '99/'01 Cobra. For the 05+, the Euro tails put a large amber lens right in the middle. I was really hoping to put a set of Euro tails on my car, but once I saw them I instantly decided not to.
