They certainly do look clearer and a little nicer to me. I'm sure you can switch over to them aftermarket soon if not already!

I'll have to look at mine again, but I don't remember them looking like that red '05's lights.

 

The pic on the left is a real car, the one on the right is an artist's rendering, touched up for sales and advertising material. Everything will look shinier and perfect in the second pic. I think we should wait until we see a real production '06 to claim the lights will be different. I highly doubt they would design new headlights one year out from the launch of the S197.

 

What's the difference? Only thing I see is that one is a professional shot with high quality lighting (silver) and the other is a amature shot.

The picture looks to me alot like the 2004 show car. The front end of that car is different the the 05 production version... my .02

I build headlamps for GM for a living.

I can see a differance right away. I look at about 1500+ lamps a day.

But the fluting on the reflector is a nice change on the 06's has a cleaner look to it.
The spacing on the 05's are about 1/4 inch and the 06's is about 1/2 inch. From the pictures I see there.

 

the picture on the right is a marketing rendering of the pre production V6 pony package minus the horizonial pony coral bar.

The 4 light set up for the V8 for 06 will be the same as the 05. Ford is stupid but not that stupid to change inventory structure of a head lamp assembly after 1 production year.

Then if they are that stupid - the 05 V8 is that much more unique down the road
