Welcome.

Thanks all. Since I started watching the posts on here about 2 weeks ago till joining I have been spending any extra buck I can on mods. lol. But thats the exciting part I find. So far since june 2nd I added. GT/CS side Scoops and GT apearance hood scoop. Tinted the windows. Powered BY FORD Plennum Cover. 6 Guage mycolor cluster went in today and put on my hood pin kit. Now I would like to add some go fast goodies and lower it a bit. I was watching a ATI Procharger on eBay and it sold for $1200 but I am pretty sure it was a scam. So I am looking to go that route so far. Maybe a CAI and Tunner first and possible underdrive pully's. What is a good kit to lower the car and level it out without killing the daily drive aspect ? Any ideas or help would be great. Trying to figure out how to post pics. Cheers

As far as lowering? Steeda Ultralights seem to be what you'd want, of course it's all preference (as for anything you do to your car)

1. Good sounding axelback exhaust. (read up and listen in - http://forums.bradbarnett.net/showthread.php?t=25675)

2. A good intake + tune. (Bamachips, Brenspeed, TillmanSpeed - all top notch.

3. Suspension
4. Pullies
5. Short throw shifter (since you have a manual)

could go on.....how thick is your checkbook? I'd go with #1 and 2 personally....

Sounds good. I have read that ford did a wicked job on the flow of the exhaust and that many of the aftermarkets do not flow as well and rob some HP??? I also read tha Magnaflow makes a nice one that sounds great but doesn't add much to the HP but also does not rob any. So I have been thinking of going with them. Anybody know what the S&B CAI's are like. Again I read that them and a couple other companies have a 2 part system that alows you to bolt it on without a tune but then can upgrade it which requires a tune??? That is the thing I miss most about my 88 convert GT/ Everything was easy bolt on with no tuning or very minimal.

Techically, any axelback won't give you a nominal Hp gain (if any, surely won't rob you) - most people I know get them for the tone they produce (also if you factor in a X/H pipe). As far as tunes, anyone here will tell you that getting a CAI w/o a tune means you really won't get your money's worth. Most CAIs will throw a CEL w/o a tune.
Tunes do more than make the CAI work w/ the car - they optimize rpms, dreaded throttle lag, goveners and create a basically more responsive vehicle. I just got my intake and tune on monday and I haven't looked back.
