Is this a good price for an '07 GT Deluxe?

Hey guys,

I've had a few Mustangs in the past (94 Cobra, 93 Saleen, 88 GT), but it's been a year since I've had one and I've decided to buy an '07 GT. I'm working with a local dealership on a Torch Red Exterior/Charcoal Interior GT Deluxe with the following options:

Leather Seating
3.55 Gears
18" Polished Wheels

MSRP is $28,160. Right now we're at $25,160 (including the $1,000 rebate) plus tax, tag, and title. Out the door is $26,800. Does this sound about right? Do you think I can get them to come down more on the price? Thanks.

My premium 07 GT has a sticker price of $28,200. The only option I have though is IUP.

Try Kelly Blue Book

You can go to Kelly Blue book and price the car out
It tells you what the dealer pays for the car

Sounds pretty good I was shopping for 07 GT's in Texas and the best I could get was $26,600 with x-plan. But settled on a slightly used 06 GT deluxe with more options and new car financing for $22,000. Best of luck.

Sounds pretty good to me, but you propably could find a 05 or 06 used and a pretty good price as well with low miles.

Thanks guys. I've looked at used 05s and 06s with low miles (less than 15k) and I'm suprised at the high prices. I wasn't able to find anything for less than $23k. Usually you can save $5k on a used car, but not in this case. There must be a lot of demand for used Mustangs. I'd rather go with a new car for only a couple of thousand more.

I paid $25300 a year and a half ago for my 06 Deluxe with cloth. Yours seems like a good price as long as you don't have to pay for a bunch of extras.

Yes and you will have the bottom of the bucket in choice. We're already at desperate inventory levels and summer hasn't even started yet.

$2000 off MSRP(before rebate) in that price range is dancing around invoice, so it sounds like a pretty good price Out the door will depend on where you buy it(just make sure that the out the door additions are only taxes/tags/processing fees and NOT freight). Other then that, where are the pics!

Geez... Whats the exchange rate?

I got me 05 used with 14k for 21,500. 5SPD, 3.55rear, leather, and shaker. I think if you hunt you could get an even better deal on slightly used. In the end its your choice.

Just take your time with buying. 07 prices should only get better.

I'm looking to order an '08 GT under the X-plan and I was wondering.. should I pay destination or is it included in the X-plan price? I did some research online and it seems to be a different answer from everyone. I'm in Maryland, if that matters.

Actually from what I've seen, this generation of Mustangs is holding its value much better than any I've seen. Most of the used lots I pass by, or when I drive by dealerships and see any used GTs on the lot, they are mostly still around 20k or more.

Destination(freight) is included on the invoice as part of the vehicle's price, so the x-plan price on the invoice is the total. Only add taxes and tags as you don't pay a dealer processing fee if you use an x-plan pin. They can tell you the x-plan price on the spot when you order it.

It's almost impossible to find any 05+ GT under $20K, even at dealer auctions. They get stupid money even at Manheim, so we rarely have them used unless traded.

Giddyup, was that before tax, tag, and title?

Kevinb120, there is a ton of inventory in Florida, so I'm not worried about not having lots of choices.

Choices NOW, but we typically stock 90 mustangs and are down to 40 or so without a ton of pending 07's coming. They go away very quickly as the summer goes on.
