After about 2 months, i finally decided to pull the trigger and buy an 06 GT. 18's, leather, manual... awesome looking, love it. Already got my shares of "nice car" and only a few days old.

Question, when going into 2nd gear, do you guys hear some clicking? Im not a prof yet with the stick, but i've driven them before and they made no noise what so ever... just wondering if this is normal...

Is it more of a clunk? If so, it is probably drive train noise. Lots of them do it, including mine.

Yeah...I get the clunk sometimes going into 2nd too on my '07. I'm glad that I'm not the only one. I thought it was just my poor shifting skillz...ha ha

I get a clunk going into and coming out of 2nd when engaging the clutch less than perfectly smoothly, I was told it was normal play in the differential to handle the power

It's a combination of the springs in the clutch, normal slop in the driveline, and not shifting smoothly. I do it all the time. I find it's much harder with the A/C on to shift smoothly... particularly at low RPMS.. This car just wants to run. I do best when I'm accelerating a hair over moderately to full ***** to the wall. It's even different depending on my shoes... in my Vans, I'm smooth as butter... but with slaps on (flip flops) I slip the clutch too much or drop it too quickly sometimes...
But, to answer your question... the clunk is normal.
