I'm thinking that if you just took the satin one and sprayed it with a transparent black you would get a cooler effect..but that's just me

Here are Some in car Shots. It looks Good and Now you can see the Contrast. It is in a word UNDERSTATED. But it Looks Good! The Satin is More in your face and this is High Tech Cool. It's all about the Look you want. Hope this Helps Those on the Fence Post about Dash Choices. BTW These Shots are a lot clearer before I post them. BUMMER!

If they had the dark IUP in 2005, I maight have opted for the tan or light gray interior. I always felt the satin IUP looked lost in those interiors.

Ok, why is one vent black but the rest silver? (EDIT: Nevermind I got it. Looks better with the Black vents. I could be biased since I have the base black and all black interior.)

As for the whole Dark IUP, ahhhh... not impressed but to each his or her own.

Is there any way to remove the chrome surrounds on the vents without damaging them? I think a coat of flat clear paint will give them a brushed look, which I would like on my car.

It would be way cool if it were "real carbon fibre" vice a faux finish... Ahh but real CF would be prohibitive in expense....

I'll take the "real" aluminium for now....

carbon fiberrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

I agree, too Ricey for Me, My daughters boy friend is a carbon fiber nut, he has a red acura with CF hood, spoiler, mirrors, door handles, interior all over, and strange patches where mud flaps go ???

His Car Looks like a Quilt

Here is where I think Carbon Fiber should be used

Finally got my GT with dark IUP. Link will take you to a panorama view of the dash from the back seat. Too bad it's a dreary, rainy day but it's still a nice, overall view of the dash.

Not sure if I'm doing this right but I'll try.

Bob, dark iup looks good. Any chance you could post a few more pics of the interior? I'm still trying to decide which to go with the dark charcoal int.

Here is a link to a few more but they might not show exactly what you want. As soon as weather permits, I'll take a few from the passenger side, showing more of the dash. Dark IUP really looks good with the red interior. Please note that I removed the red carpets & replaced them with black bathroom mats from KMart. I wanted to spare the originals from the snow & salt. When Spring breaks, I'll put the red carpets back in.

Another thing I want to mention: it seems like the majority favors the std silver IUP. Keep in mind that the voters are basing their opinion on the few pictures which have been posted, many of which are of less than stellar quality. In my opinion, the standard IUP is too much "bling". The glare from the silver can be very irritating in sunny weather (based on rides in another GT). I prefer the more subtle look of the dark IUP. The carbon fiber appearance has gotten many unsolicited favorable comments in the few days I've owned the car. The chrome bezels add just the right touch of a bright accent without introducing more glare.

Many posters decry the fact that the carbon fiber look is fake. Well, duh...so is the chrome on the dash...so is the leather patterned vinyl dash below the silver IUP...so is the silver on the steering wheel. Wake up - most of the interior is PLASTIC.

Sorry. Maybe I shouldn't be posting after pounding a few.

Na, dude, To each their own, I kinda like it. But that's not saying much cuz I don't think it's *that* much a difference between the satin IUP. The interior still looks like an 05 Mustang's to me.

Dark IUP and the ICAP/Charcoal interior just doesn't do it for me. I like the silver finish in mine. I really think the drak IUP will look awesome on a gray or tan interior.

Have to say it is good to have options for everyone. Not all options are for everyone. The dark IUP is one that is not for me. To all those that get it, enjoy but I will stay with my IUP satin.
