I'm glad I ordered the dark. I think the Satin stands out to much. If the my color option was available without the satin panels , I would have gone that route.

Now if my car would only get here! It's scheduled to arrive this week. I can't tell you how difficult it is working at the same dealer your new car is getting delivered to. I keep looking outside waiting for a car carrier to pull up :bang:
Ahh I didnt know you worked at a dealership Guess that explans my PM

As for the dark IUP I am kinda glad I didnt change. I like it but I dont like how the AC vents still have the satin on them. I would like ti if it were all the same color. So I am glad I didnt change my order!!

Now if mine would just get here :bang:

The dark IUP is an absolute must for the parchment interior, the satin IUP never looked good with it. Probably works better with the graphite, but I would need to see it in person. Charcoal is my first choice for interior, and although I think I like the dark IUP better, sight unseen, I would probably choose the satin IUP.

Another thing Ford needs to do is match the door-panel inserts with the interior color choice or at the least have the dark inserts match in the backseats also. But I'd ask for higher quality plastics and switchgear before anything else. Ford should be embarassed to use some of those materials in any car.

I ordered the Dark IUP. I love my choice but I am worried that together with the Charcoal interior that I ordered that the whole package is going to be a little too dark.

This may look better with the light gray dash. The dark IUP will match the darker door inserts. That will probably be a good look!

Can't wait to see it in place.

The Base Dash is Darker Than the Dark IUP and it Looks Great With the Charcoal so No Worries!

kc

I am Curious to How Many Dealers will be Getting Calls to Change Dash Orders Tommorrow one way or Another. It will probably cause Panic at Order Processing. Nah!

Agreed; never liked the satin IUP with the parchment. I like the look of the darker IUP, so thats my .02.

Now, if Ford would just offer a "brushed metal look" A/C & instrument surrounds...

Even if Ford doesn't... the aftermarket does.

I like the dark. You can keep the chrome ring, but the inerds of the vents needs to be dark to match, not satin.

I like it. However, I think the satin finished fits in better with my color combination.

I thought I was going to like it and the car should have had it from the start, but the satin vents just don't look right. I was hoping for more of a Shelby look, but unless the lighting is off, it doesn't look the same. I'm going to be optimistic and reserve final judgement for pics in a car, or seeing it in person. I used to hate the satin IUP, but I'm finally beginning to accept it.

The base dash looks too cheap and plain. The satin dash is too much, and the carbon-fiber/Dark IUP isn't what I expected it to be.

I like standard IUP with dark charcoal. I like dark IUP with parchment and graphite.

Interesting. I'd have to see the complete dash installed to change my mind, but at this point I think I prefer the satin/alm look.

Hrm, I think I'll stick with my Satin color choice. I think the Satin IUP looks best on dark charcoal although the dark IUP may look better on the tan interior. IMO, the dark IUP blends in too much with charcoal interior and doesn't look much different than no IUP.

EDIT: Crap, I should have read the entire thread before quick responding. Well, anyways, thanks for posting the pics!

I have the satin IUP now, and I thought the interior of the car was still a bit dark (with the dark charcoal). I added a few more satin pieces and I'm happy now. This pic was snapped at the track one day, so it's not the best quality.
don,coupla questions
how is that mustang on your dash installed?
do you have any pisc where I can see the window control plates?
