New Car Delivery Inspection...

Any helpful hints on what to check for specifically when picking up my 08 GT/CS Convertible?
Regarding defects, paint, fit n' finish, dash squeaks.
Any thoughts, as I got hosed on delivery of my 87 GT 20 Years ago, apparently it was damaged coming off the truck and I didn't notice until I got it in my garage under the lights. Not the end of the world, but not what you want to find on your new ride.
Thanks
LJS

Really just check for physical damage at time of purchase as any other defect would be covered under warranty.

Check wheels for nicks, scratches, visible signs. I also would check hood, door and trunk for alignment and gaps.

Yup, it'll be a bonus if it's still got the plastic and tape or whatever it is still on the car. Usually those transportator's arent too easy on the cars.

Would recommend you bring a friend along to help you check it out -

Also check the clear coat for marks that would have to buffed out. Mine had some.

Take a good look at all the hose clamps under the hood, sometimes those spring clips crack when installed at the factory and will leak. If one does leak, it'll be a warranty repair. Just something to watch out for. You don't want to get your new car home and have it drip coolant all over your driveway and garage.
