I have seen them in person and they look cool. But a running pony would definately rock. Heck they could play it super safe and just put 'ford' on there.

I was thinking about the key after I gave up on the Fusion one and was glad it didnt work to keep me from wasting money on probably the dumbest 'mod' I ever came up with. I was going about 110 today and noticed that I really couldn't see the key nor really cared about what it looked like anymore.

Ford is Going to FUSION Style Keys on all Models In the Future. I have no Phase in Timeline at the Moment. Ya know I came Accross some Snazzy Keys In my Dealer Mail the Other Day. I will ck if they have any 05/06 Stang Offerings! FYI I have Emailed Ford on The Plain Keys more than once.

I would think the cost would go down over the two seperate compenents over time. I have just decided I could care less about car keys unless I can't find em.

Agreed. I wonder how many sales they lose because they insist on putting that on everything.

The (UPR) website also mentions that the remote case reduces the range of the remote. That hardly seems worth it. :notnice:

Unfortunately I didn't see that posted on Steeda's website. I have the Steeda Billet remote cover. You have to be so close to the car for the ermote to work you might as well use the key!

I guess I am just old, but in my view a key is a key is a key. Why all the moaning about a few scratches on a key? Most of the time it is either hung up on a key holder or in your pocket or purse. When in use, who the heck is going to be looking at a stupid key?

Yup - To me it's just a key. Nothing more or less - I need it to start the car but won't spend 2 minutes or $2 to try and improve upon it...

I recently bought a key and fob off ebay. They were new and still in the Ford plastic bags. I got them both for under $30. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...Y_BIN_Stores_IT

The key looked a little different and when I took it to be cut they told me it wouldn't work. It was from an earlier model. I had him cut it anyway. I figured I didn't have much to loose. I programed both in about 5 minutes and they both work just fine.

I also recall in another thread that someone else got the key with the metallic Ford logo to work also.

I bought this off ebay and works great, much better looking than the key from the factory.

I don't mind the key or key fob. My key, attached by itself to the running pony keychain, is almost always in the ignition. I have my other keys attached to the remote and I lock the door when I go in somewhere. If the car is out of site for a length of time, I do remove the key and place it somewhere in the car.
