OK I was just talking to the delaerhsip and they have a new blue ford mustang key, but I wanted to find out if there is an on-line place where I can check for som enew blank keys for my mustang. The factory one is worse then my old Honda Civic Key.

If you know any location please post it here.

Thanks

Yeah, I agree. My wife's Taurus key has the blue Ford oval and my new Mustang key doesn't have anything. Very plain. If we can't get the Fusion key/fob combo, then what other options do we have?

One of my disappointments with the current key is that the plastic is soft. Just keeping the key in my pocket on its own keychain, it is visibly mangled compared to the spare.

No , you know what. I went to the dealer, and it was exactly the same key. I am like " Dude someone told me on the phone that you guys have another blue key....."

I guess we are stuck with this one. Is there a way that I can just go to a key store and order for them to make me one that looks much better?

Do you guys know of anyother place that would make keys for our mustang?

Thanks!

My wifes explorer had the "pretty" blue logo version -- and the plastic seemed a bit sturdier. Her new F-150 has the plain jane softer black plastic version you guys are describing.

I'd hope the GT500 at least gets a nicer key. :P

I guess I am just old, but in my view a key is a key is a key. Why all the moaning about a few scratches on a key? Most of the time it is either hung up on a key holder or in your pocket or purse. When in use, who the heck is going to be looking at a stupid key?

Well you might not see a point, but is the same reason people buy a key chain I dont know I guess estetics... I mean if I really own somehing I like to be nice, and for them to save money on something so small its ridiculous.... Anyhow thats just my point of view...

Other then the fusion type combo key with the fob built in where I can just keep a key with a simple mustang keychain on it, I could care less. I keep my fob on a quick release and leave the rest of my keys in the car when I'm at work anyway...

NEWSFLASH! Heh I just compared the Fusion key to a Mustang one, the cut and shape of the blank is IDENTICAL.. Hmmmmm May have to price one out tomorrow The chip and fob properties have got to be the same as all the other Fords. Maybe I'll be the guinia pig for one. And yes, they have the pretty Ford emblem on them :P

Order one. Let us know how it goes. I would love to have an integrated one. I don't have key chains. I only take the key to the car I am driving. I don't even carry a house key.

When they first handed me the keys to my new Mustang, I thought they handed me just the spare valet set. Sure a key isn't much of a big deal but man, even my civic had a nicer set of keys. Had a little tin Honda emblem inbedded in them and the plastic held up MUCH better. The remote was way better looking too, slimmer also.

They look like they should be keys to a Ford Festiva, not a Mustang.

Although I must admit, keys aren't something I'm willing to pay a whole lot for just for looks. It would be nice to have a decent set though.

WellI jsut took my Mustang for a 20,000 mile service after 9 months

Well I talk to the tech guy overthere and he said that The Fusion Keys will not work for the 05-06 Mustang. I still want to see someone else try this so I can ( Hopefully ) prove him wrong.....
