That really sux! Have you tried contacting them for a membership refund? When you joined it stated on their website that the waiting period would be thirty days, now they've changed that. Seems to me like your entitled to a refund.

Didn't find out until after they closed. I will DEFINITELY be calling them tomorrow. There's even one page under Member Services that STILL says 30 days. What a bunch of INCOMPETENT MORONS! I don't know who I'm more pissed at, Ford or the AQHA!!! What a rip-off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Can you print that page and save it to your hard drive for me? I may need you to email it to me, I just looked and couldn't find it. I signed up Feb 6, my ETA is Mar 21, I'm getting the shaft too. I would call and look more, but to be honest with you my dog just died, I've got to handle other things right now. If you could find it and save it, I'd appreciate it.

For some reason I couldn't save the page itself. All you have to do is go to the home page, AQHA.com and click on Member's Services on the left hand side of the page. (you have to be signed in I think) The very first topic is "MEMBER BENEFIT" It is specifically talking about the Ford deal.
Here's exactly what it says:
"Ford has teamed with AQHA to provide a $500 member incentive toward the purchase of any Ford vehicle (excluding special editions). You must be an AQHA member for at least thirty days to qualify. "
Unfortunately once you go to the specifics of the deal it says,
"Ford Makes AQHA's $500 Member Rebate Easy as 1-2-3.
Locate your AQHA membership information to access your e-certificate on-line.
Click here and have your e-certificate in seconds.
Take your printed e-certificate to your local Ford dealer to redeem.
If you have any questions, contact AQHA's customer service department at 806-376-4811 ext.312. The $500 incentive is in addition to all other publicly available Ford Motor Company retail offers in effect at the time of purchase or lease. This incentive may not be used in combination with other private offers. Note: A,X,Z,D plans are excluded. See your local Ford dealer for complete details and eligibility rules. Other restrictions may apply. Must be AQHA member at least 60 days to qualify. Two e-certificates per member identification number per year."
Notice it says nothing about members who join after January 1st.
BTW, OCD, check out my sig. We're almost there. Any news yet?

Well at least now I have something to take in and put under my dealers nose. Now he can't tell me it's just for lease!
I took the chance on the membership. I figured if it didn't work out, I at least made a contribution to what appears to be a good organization. Also, every $35 AQHA gets, it helps pay for those rebates.

Just got off the phone with AQHA, and they're going to try to get me the discount since all my paperwork says it only has to be 30 days.
BTW, I'm pretty sure the whole $35 goes to AQHA and all of the discount comes out of Ford's pocket.

Cool StangNut, that's why I couldn't find it last night, I wasn't signed in. I got it now. Let me know how you make out with them honoring their end of the agreement, I'll be calling them tomorrow.
Just got off the phone with FoMoCo Cust Serv, my car is 'in production' - whatever that means. It's been in production since last Fri, I don't think it takes a week to assemble the car, maybe I'm wrong ? But my ETA is Mar 14-21, that's a new one, they gave me a week range for my ETA. Oh well, it's getting closer.

Haven't heard anything yet. They told me they'd call today or Friday. I told her I'd call her if I hadn't heard anything by Tuesday. Car won't be here until the end of next week at the earliest, though. I spoke to Debra... or debbie, or something like that.

GUESS WHAT I JUST GOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I decided to try it one more time just for the heck of it and I got my e-certificate! I get my $500! I don't know if everyone's got reset or if they have to do each one individually.
OCD, have you passed your 30 days yet?
BTW, Ford has renewed for 4 more years.

AWESOME NEWS!!! I don't hit my 30 days until the 7th, but tell me what you did to get it... did you just follow the steps on the website? And how did it come, did it come in the mail, was it emailed to you?
