I have been fighting my fever for a new car. Was doing pretty good until my dad called me and told me he now qualifies for Z-plan.
I have found a Redfire 04 GT on a lot in a neighboring town. They quoted me $18900 after z-plan and rebates. I saw some automatics in another town for 16900, without z-plan, so I'm thinking I may be paying too much.
My local dealer has a black 04 GT, 5spd, vert coming in tomorrow. Hasn't quoted a price yet. Anybody know how much more a vert would be on z-plan?
I just talked to a salesman and configured a Sonic Blue 05 GT, 5spd, IUP, Bullit wheels, leather interior. He is supposed to give me z-plan price tomorrow.
They won't give me z-plan on anything in stock. They have basically the car I configured coming in within the next couple of days, but if I want that one, I have to pay MSRP.
My head tells me one thing, my heart tells me another, my wife just throws her hands up.
I"m looking to you fine folks to help push me one way or another.
OH, just to add to it, I have a $1000 voucher coming to me if I purchase on Z-plan by tomorrow 11/30. No pressure.![04](https://themustangsource.com/forums/images/smilies/04.gif)
Looking forward to your thoughts!

You have a point. I probably should have put this in the Mustang Chat forum for a true unbiased opinion. I just know more people browse the 05, and generally will give an honest opinion, even if it contradicts their personal preference.
Mods, feel free to move my poll if you feel it would be more appropriate.
Thx

To me, this one would be a simple choice. If I wasn't going to treat myself to a Cobra, 05 GT hands down.
Personally, I'm getting the 05 GT and worry about power adders later on. :worship: the new/old styling.

Lemmie see...
'05 Stang:
Better, more rigid chassis (no longer a 20 year old platform);
Significantly improved fit and finish quality;
VASTLY superior interior in design and quality;
Better performance;
Far better handling dynamics;
Up-to-date technology;
And the amazing late '60s classic styling elements.
Now, tell me again there's a choice here.

As much as I like my 05, your looking at what, a $6000 price difference...
That's a chuck of change...
Money is always a factor, if it wasn't, I would have a Vette...
