Why would you? ( let someone else drive your car ). And yes, this includes parents, girlfriends, wives, roommates, best friends, bosses, etc. With the exception of the service writer at the dealer that pulls it to the oil change bay, and the tuner at the performance shop I go to, no one other than myself drives my car.

Yes, I was right in the passenger seat. She backed into an Escalade...messed up the right rear quarter pannel. Came to $3000 worth of damage. I would post pictures but its already in the shop and I didn't think to take pictures beforehand. I'm upset but it isn't like I can be angry because its a good friend of mine and I know its an accident, poo happens...but why does it have to happen to me dangit!?

3000?? That's a lot for just the rear quarter. I got stuck in a snow storm with 12 feet visibility and ended up spinning out. Front Bumper replaced, Rear bumper replaced, Radiator replaced, cooling fan, re-painted hood and this all came out to 2700 including labor.

I'm always letting people drive my car. For me, its part of the joy of owning it. If it gets wrecked, it gets wrecked. Its worth it to me to see the looks on their faces.

I'm sorry this happened to you, I hope the fix is perfect.

Noooo! but nice of you to let others drive it. I have had several requests to drive, but none granted yet. Sorry to hear that about your car.

I've let other people drive mine, but only guys who I can trust, and who know how to drive stick shift performance cars.

$3000? Ouch? How did the Escalade fair? (not that I care about the stupid thing)

ouch man! I definitely understand what you are saying! I was thinking about letting my girl drive mine, with me in there of course. She takes care of her Mercedes...but the problem is, she doesnt know how to drive a standard... :\ I think I will be getting a new clutch.....I definitely will be getting a rental car and letting her practice on that first.. lol

I agree with you about 99.9%!!! The only difference is that my wife drives mine at the track occasionally, and has driven it on the road about four times in the 7 months I have had it. Of the 13,000+ miles on the car, she has been behind the wheel for less than 100 miles.
