I took a chance and had them pull mine. The trim was damaged when it came out and I had to shell out for a replacement. Was nice getting a new windshield after 40k though! You probably made the right choice, the Carlite glass runs about $400.

Ouch. I kinda wish my glass was new, it's sandblasted pretty bad
