4.10's - more for the strip and give you better accel and will hurt your MPG by about 3-5
3.73 - more streetable and more for the top end. no clue on MPG

Are you from Sacramento Joe? If so go to http://www.sacramento-mustang.com/ and buy a set of FRPP 4:10 gears and and have the shop next to them install the gears. Can't give you a price because I emailed them on Friday and haven't heard back yet. They can tell you what you should do.

Rule of thumb is that 5 speed manual should get 4:10 gears and autos get 3:73's.

I see that you have an 07 and if your car has 3:23 gears then the 3:73 gears would be a great improvement.

Are you talking about changing the gear ratio in the transmission itself? If so, why? You were asking about needing 5 of them, this is why i am asking about the gear change in the transmission. Now if you are talking about rearend gears, then I would say 3.73 or 4.10's. That would be a choice you would need to make. Graypny was asking about the 07's, they came with 3.31 stock.

Yurka, you are asking to change the gears in transmission?

(guessing this by your OP).

I don't see the point. It's more efficient and cost effective to change your rear end gears and leave the tranny alone.
