2005-2009 Mustang Information on The S197 {Gen1}

NEED HELP BCM PROBLEM

NEED HELP BCM PROBLEM

My BCM got wet and i need to replace it. i been to several junkyards and found several of them but the numbers don't match to the one in my car. my question is can i put any one or does it have to be the same. I went to a ford dealership and they told me that they do have to match is this true or can i put any BCM

As far as I know the numbers need to match because of the options your car has.
Though if you reprogram it to match your car then I do not see why you can't. But finding someone who is willing is the tough part as I kept reading this from others.

5R3T-14B476-BC, 5R3T-14B476-BD ARE also compatible with 5R3T-14B476-BE. The BE has the latest update in the series. All three can interchange. These numbers are only good with the 05 and 06 models. 07 changed.
