Yep, I screwed it up already... no, it wasn't my fault. I really don't want to get into it.
I was just wondering if anyone knew where to find a bumper for a 2005 Mustang GT? Do they even make them as spare parts yet? Does anyone know how much they might be, how much it might cost to replace the front bumper, and how long it will take a body shop to repair it??

Charlie, I haven't heard of any parts availability yet but I'm sure your dealer should be able to hook you up. The issue is with the Holidays and all, getting the car in to a body shop to R&R the old bumper (and anything else that might need replaced such as bracing, etc) and then paint it up RIGHT.
Figure you'll probably need to leave the car with the body guy at least a couple of days if not more, once you get the parts secured.
Bad news, I know but most likely fairly accurate unless you've got a good friend who can do paint and body work at the drop of a hat.
Good luck!

Unfortunately, if your local body shop or even dealership bodyshop are as busy as those around here, it will be a week or two before you can even get it in. ![Frown](https://themustangsource.com/forums/images/smilies/frown.gif)
I hope you get her fixed up fast and nice!

Shouldn't your insurance company take care it?
How did you mess up the front bumper without it being your fault? Did someone back into you?

First thing I would do is try and see if Saleen has any take-off bumpers for the car.
I have mentioned this a few times in posts, but Saleen sells wheels/body panels that they take off their cars for a very reasonable price.
If you call them, they should have an '05 bumper in black available for you. All you have to do is get the rear quarter repaired on your car.
If you post some pics I may be able to get a good idea how much it would cost to repair. if it is just a straight swap of bumpers, not that bad, if there is some bodywork involved, then the cost will go up a bit.

That is an excellent idea Galaxie
Call Saleen, they will have spare bumper for sure. Also, if you don't want your car in the body shop forever, just buy the bumper and have them paint and prep at the body shop of your choice (this should eliminate the time your car would sit in the shop while they paint and prep the car). Also, you can wait to have the side of your car fixed and painted, if it's not too bad. That way you will not have to report it to the insurance. Smart move. Sorry to hear about your accident. best of luck.
