Is there a seach vehicle that allows you to seach Ford dealers nationwide for a particular 2005? Ford's website allows you to search by city or zip code, but this is a very slow process if your looking for a rare car. I know the dealers can do it but don't know how. Any ideas???

I was wondering the same thing. Not sure why they make it so hard. Probably so more people will just settle for what's on the lot at their local dealerships.

I know one thing... If my car isn't here by June 1st I'll be seaching every zip code in the midwest for my car and buy it off a lot.

Thats the only way right now...using different Zip codes **unless** you know someone who has access to the Ford computer. The dealer can look at ALL. I think they look by regions maybe...Karpro?

The way I approached this was to pull up another site that displays zip codes by region and just hammer them in there.

This is one of them: http://zip4.usps.com/zip4/citytown_zip.jsp

There are others, just use the one that suits your needs.

Here's what I did just the other day:

I opened a windiw with a yellow pages search - entered "ford" in the business name and just the state that I was interested in. This gave me the addresses (read 'zip codes') that i used for the search. BTW - larger cities seems to equal larger inventories.

Check out Boise, ID and Las Vegas, NV - they have lots for some reason.

Hope this helps,

C
