MyStang on local TV soon
I've been involved with the production of a local TV show and movie host program here locally for about 17 years. To learn about the show, visit www.madblood.net.
When the doctor's nurse and lab assistant needed to have a car, the exec producer asked about using the Mustang, and I readily agreed. We've shot some rolling footage over the past few days, and he'll loan me the camera originals to cut something together as well.
So one of the characters (Nurse Dream) will soon be identified as an afficianado of Mustangs.
While shooting out in the country, we enjoyed the sight of a well-kept '57 Studebaker Golden Hawk roaring by. The driver of that car came back to where we were staging for shots, and it turned out we knew him - an engineer from our respective TV and radio pasts. It also turns out he has been busy building a collection of cars, which he has offered to us for use in the program! Amongst these are:
The afreomentioned '57 Studebaker (with original Paxton supercharger)
1935 DeSoto Airflow sedan
1946 Dodge pickup (with 6400 original miles)
1941 Ford Coupe (custom rodded)
He also has a Chrysler Airflow coupe (the very swoopy one) in the midst of restoration. The Mustang will be in rich company!
We went back to his house after running into him during the shoot, where we learned about all the other cars, and he offered them for use in the program. Then we went out for a ride in the DeSoto.
Our engineer friend's wife whispered, just before we went out, "Just leave the keys to the Mustang!"
