I just picked up my long awaited Mustang GT from the dealer just a mere 7 hours ago. While putting the first 60 miles on the car, I realized that the turn signal sounds like the galloping horseshoes of a horse. Am I just nuts, or does anyone else think so ? Just another cool secret feature of the new Mustang !!!!!!!

Gosh, this car is freakin' awesome !!!

Congrats on the new car. Enjoy it!

I'm not so sure I am feeling ya on the galloping horse/turn signal thing though.

My 8 yr old daughter commented on that on our 1st day with our 05 mustang... I never would have thought of it until she mentioned it....

I thought it was just Ford capturing the retro theme by having the similar turn signal sound of the old Mustangs.

Sorry, the turn signal click is exactly the same sound as my sons 03 Focus. It was the first thing he mentioned when he took a ride.

Yep. It sounds just like the focus. Interesting to note, that the turn signal sound on the focus and mustang are electronic reproductions from a speaker. The sound is not mechanically created, like in days past.

Yep... first thing I thought as well. And I've been listening to that focus blinker for a while.

But I can see where you might think it sounds like a horse trotting.

Signal sound is annoying, maybe the reason most people don't signal to change lanes.

That sound was also the first complaint by my wife and my daughter. Guess I didn't really notice. This comes from a speaker? Is that true? If so, where is that bad boy so I can stick some cotton in the thing!

I definitely noticed the sound of the turn signal when I did the test drive, didn't connect it to a "gallop" at the time, but I see your point.

I didn't think I'd like the pseudo-retro lights and sounds of the new dash, but it seems I do.
