I ordered my mustang today. a torch red premium automatic V6 w/ antitheft, IUP, exterior sport package, Anti brake system, side air bags.
My MSRP price is $23,135.00 (including destination and delivery) My invoice price is $21,209.00 and my Xplan price is $21,483.99. Does this all sound right? Also my dealer told me that i can expect to see it in around 10-12 weeks since i ordered IUP and they are on backorder. He also said that he sent my order off today but that i would not be able to recive my vin for 4 weeks...does this seem right? i'm not sure. He also gave me a pretty cool keychain....*sigh*i'm so easily pleased!

I thought the V6 orders with IUP are not being accepted at all, or it could be the dealers can send it over and Ford rejects those orders till the dealer removes the IUP otption.
Don't hold your breath for the 4 weeks VIN thing, keep checking with your dealer and ask him/her to give you the DORA as soon as he/she gets it.

Hey There,

I am happy for you. I bought mine last saturday after getting the news that the IUP could take a LONG time, after December, and possibly beyond. The car I bought wasn't my exact order, but it was pretty close. I LOVE the V-6, especially after trading in a 4-Banger (Mini Cooper). The car exceeded my expectations, and I'm sure you will be very pleased. Congrats!

Jim

i don't think ford rejects the orders, but they will just sit there in the system until the IUP hold is lifted.

HorsC...I think you are in for a longer wait than you think

10 to 12 weeks drops about mid to late Janurary... Not too far off from the Mid-Feburary you where told.

This is one of many reasons I've just get my inhabitions in check and decided to wait for the 2006
