If anyone remembers my original story about how I placed my order in June and put $1k down and stuff:
http://forums.bradbarnett.net/index....opic=6340&st=0

Well the exciting conclusion was I called the dealership this weekend and it turns out they never put my order through, they only held my money and they said they were going to put the order through now and I could expect a car in the late winter or early spring and in the meantime I could come down and look at the 05 they got in incase I need to see what it looks like. Anyway, the guy who got me my x-plan logged a formal complaint against the dealership only to find out there are a bunch of complaints against them (Monroe Ford in Monroe, NY). So now I have to go there tonight, get my deposit back and go somewhere else. Not like I didn't bust my you know what just to get that money down back in June to get this car by now! My first Mustang being bought from a dealership has really left a bad taste in my mouth and now I can only hope to even get this car by the spring. I wouldn't wish this on anyone. :bang: :bang: :bang:

Definitely not cool, I would file a formal complaint with the better business bureau with that dealership.

I am so sorry. That is really horrible of them to do that to you, especialy after they held your $1000 dollar deposit for four to five months! I ordered back in June(14th, A-plan) also, and it's seems like a lot of the ppl who order later than us have been getting their cars (ordered in July, August...etc.) And it makes me wish I didn't bust butt up there to order it. It's about to start snowing here in Ohio and I just rather have the car in the spring.

Too bad you can't sue that dealership somehow... Heh...

Sorry to hear that. The dealer I am dealing with did a similar thing. I ordered on May 26th but they didn't place my order until Sept 10th. I will be getting mine early December if I am lucky

Does anyone know of any other places I could log a complaint that would hopefully get the word out to consumers so that Monroe Ford can never do this to another Ford consumer?
Do you have a local newspaper? Published letters to the editor can be pretty embarassing.

One of the TV news stations in Indianapolis has a guy named Rafael Sanchez that does a gotcha segment on businesses/people who screw people over. He usually gets results when he sticks the mike in their faces on camera and asks them why they are ripping their customers off. Usually the next week he does a follow up segment where the business is kissing the customers rear end and making up for it.

Look for a person like at one of your local news stations.

Sounds like what happened to me. Luckily I called around and found a second dealer who had an order placed without a name yet. So I gladly put my name down.

I would go right to the top with the complaint. Try Francisco Codina fcodina@ford.com, he is the Vice President of Ford's Customer Service Division (google him if you don't believe me). He will get back to you if you plainly state your case in a mature manner. I should know, he got back to me within 24 hours.

Nice thought, but most papers take in a couple hundred thousand dollars a year, per dealer, in advertising. Pretty good chance your letter never gets published for obvious reasons.

Contact the New York States District Attorney's Office in Albany.

File a complaint with DMV.

Isn't their logo "Expect a Miracle"

Should be "Expect a Raping"
