[attachmentid=26906]I'm 37, just got my first Mustang ever and have been chuckling over those "midlife crisis" references. That was the first thing a friend said to me after I brought it home. I just laughed.

The wife's first words..."Its VERY red".

Thanks to this forum, I was able to get addicted to the new Mustang, learn a heck of alot, and thoroughly enjoy reading other members experiences.

Heres a few pics after Meguires NXT today.

I'm not sure what a midlife crisis is or when you're supposed to have one but I sure do like your car!

My midlife crisis was the 4 months of waiting to get the car. Now there is just midlife driving.

Can never have too much red. Sweet ride

45 here....Been wanting a red Mustang convertible since I first saw a '67 as a kid. It's not a midlife crisis, it's a self provided midlife reward

That's what my wife will be saying ina few weeks, but since I am 26 I suppose I qualify as an early life crisis.

I think my wife will say the same... she'll walk by and see me on this forum and say "what are you doing now" "how much time can you spend on that computer". I know she'll be happy when the car gets here.

Hey Brian, did you find your car on the lot? or did you order? I bet that was a great drive back from Alton. That's a good distance to go for a car... I know other had to go farther but still...
I went to school near Alton back in the early 90's. My wife is from Springfield and her sister's family live in Wadsworth. I'll be there visiting when Ford is building my 06 GT the first week of August.

Great looking car... I think those bullit rims look the best on that bright red.

I'm 46 and this is a mid-life reward for me, as well.

After raising my four kids (14, 20, 22 and 29), and going through the 4-dr sedan, minivan and SUV years, it's time for don_w to have some fun! I told them all that they cannot drive it and I'm spending their inheritance on mods!

My ex has not seen my mid life crisis yet. Probably will on Wed and those will be the exact words out of her mouth. 47 yo male. Recently divorced... hhhhmmmm I wonder what he is trying to prove with that thing?

5 days old, Black on Tan v6 vert... I go out on my breaks at work and just sit in it. Everyone thinks I'm nuts... oh well...

Congrats on the pony.
Red is the bomb.
My wife is very good about the car.
I spent 12 hours with my pony this weekend and I didn't get a bit of flack for it. I took my wife out to dinner last night to show her how much I appreciate her and to reasure her that my extramarital love affair is only physical........well maybe a little emotional..............and a little spiritual.........................In any event, all you people with spouses or significant others should give them a big hug and a kiss for putting up with you.

Congratulations Brian, young-life, mid-life, or ol' coot (me) crisis, it doesn't make a difference, you/we have one and that's what it's all about!!

October 1966, placed order for Wimbledon White 1967 Mustang 2+2 (sight unseen) 4-speed, 289. I was 29.
October 2004, placed order for Satin Silver 2005 Mustang GT (sight unseen). Had specs, order codes, etc. before the dealer had his published list, thanks to TMS. (Y'all can do the math.)

Sold the '67 in 1990 and it is presently undergoing a complete restoration by the current owner.

When I showed my wife an early production photo of this car her exact words were, "That's your car!". When I saw it sitting in the dealer's shop after its prep. I was actually speachless. I still sit in the Bullet and say to myself . . . I can't believe it's really mine! I kind of think you may do the same now and then.

Many years of enjoyment with your "VERY red" Mustang.

Fair winds,
Ron
