My neighbor ruined his '05!!!

The point I was trying to make was that there are all sorts of tastes in cars / trucks / motorcycles out there. The fact that your neighbor chose to do something with his car that doesn't necessarily appeal to you should be weighed against the alternatives and also in consideration of his own personal tastes..
I've had a couple of people lay into me for having put a Shaker hood-scoop on and the louvers in the rear window. Called a BOSS/Mach-1 wannabe. Maybe so - but you know what? I could really care less that some people may not like my car. I like it and that's all that really counts..
What do I know about racing?
I've got multiple Regional and Divisional SCCA Championships under my belt and have been involved with wheel to wheel competition for 40 years now (this year).. Yep - I'm an Auld Phart, but I can still drive the wheels off my racecars..

At any rate, I did state it was his car and money so I don't really understand why you're harping on that particular aspect of this discussion.

He has every right to do whatever he wants to his car...
And we have every right to say it's fantastic/OK/awful...
What a great country!

That thing would give WRX drivers Spoiler Envy.

I actually like everything my neighbor did to his car except the wing. If he had put on a nice ducktain (or at least left the OEM wing), I would have been raving about how nice it looked.

Have you considered the possibility he was a pilot fired after it was discovered he was having an affair with a flight attendant who was two timing him with the CEO who happened to be his brother-in-law and the only way he can have the wings of man feeling is by adding that ridiculous wing?
Come on! Let's show some sympathy.
