Bad news for you there. Until the financing is secured, the dealership owns the car. Dunno if they are going to be that trusting with $25-30k dollars. Grats on your Christmas present anywho tho.

They may let you take the car. Depends on if you have bought previously from that dealership. If you have, they sort of know if your credit check and financing should go through OK. There have been times when I was car shopping Saturday afternoons. They put dealer plates on it, and said to come back on Monday to finish up the paperwork. Especially since you ordered the car, and not taking one from the dealer inventory.

I remember when you were asking about dealerships....and now you have your car there, I'm sure it didn't seem quick to you.

That is an awsome Christmas gift. So did you get to take it home??? That would be great, or at the worst you will get it on Monday! Either way it's gonna rock......

I doubt that they will let you have the car until they have personally talked to your financial institution to verify a loan in process..... I have had a dealership give me a car prior to recieving the check, but only after the lending person has verified their end, thus giving the thumbs up/A-okay.

My dealer let me take the car with nothing... all the asked was the name of the bank I was using and that they would take care of it. Then a few days later, they called saying the bank denied the loan due to an input error, and they still didn't sweat me.

I say go in and get the car! What do people do on Sunday's... I think as long as you're serious and have decent credit they'll let you take it. The give you a five day contract to get the financing done.

Good luck!

My first ever new car came in & that afternoon I went to the dealership & they threw me the keys & sid here you go. I drove it to the bank got the check & drove back to the dealership. And we got it on my grandaddy's credit, not mine. So, if you have a really good relationship with the dealer than I don't see the problem.

Anyway. Congrats on the new car. Looks like Santa came a day early.

Happy Holidays & Merry Christmas Everyone
