My GT has been reborn...with a blower!
I can't help but pass this along to some of you I've met on this part of the forum:

After 5 years of research, wishing, saving the $7K price tag and some real good buddies to help with the installation, this car is now sporting an Edelbrock E-Force Supercharger. Awesome power!
Maybe I'll see some of you at Bob's in Downey...I understand they have a gathering most Wednesday nights. Happy to pass along any tips to those that want to do a similar upgrade to their GT.
I am soooooo stoked!!

I was so excited when that came out. That was my dream blower. Now I am all about the Kenne Bell. But I don't have the money.
Congrats on your blower, and enjoy it. Maybe one day I too can create a thread similar to this.

Thanks for the comps guys. One of the best features on this kit is the ease of installation for newbies compared to other systems. No need to send the PCM off to Michigan for tuning...the flash tuner is included in this kit. No special drilling or over-the-top complicated procedures. PLUS, the Edelbrock factory/offices are located about 15 miles from my house. They were super cool about tech support. One guy even offered to drop a part off at my house if we were desperate enough to get it that day.
Another benefit on this one is the gas mileage is good; provided you keep the revs below about 2500rpm. I reset the mileage calculator and kept the car at 70-75mph while driving a 20 mile section of freeway. I got 24.8mpg. After that I opened it up a buncha times and the figure dropped to 18.6mpg...oh well, it's still waaayyyyyy worth it!
I recall your post here last month...you sure were correct about that. Yeah, I still need to find a can of that stuff!!!
