I dont know what to do. I'm about to go see the car but i dont know if i should just keep the auto or wait another 6-8weeks or more for one with a manual trans. Im thinking about just keeping the auto and trading it in when the SVT comes out. What do you guys think?

Only you could answer that! Remember you have to live with it. I would wait for the manual.

Get the car how you want it. If you ordered a manual get a manual. The dealer can probably get your car done at a priority 2 or 3 if he calls and explains the problem.

That's a tough decision...isn't it amazing how dealers can't put in the proper order codes? My car is being delivered without the upgraded wheels...obviously my issue is fixable unlike yours.

The sales manager claims he called and put a high priority order in for my car with manual already. I cant believe he screwed up something so simple. Oh well, im going to go there drive the car and see if he'll come down from MSRP that i agreed to pay when i ordered it. He has to at least come down to the MSRP for the car i ordered. I'm so ticked about this right now.

OH bOY!! THAT WOULD MAKE ME FLIP !!! I would wait for the 5 speed and have the dealer make up for his mistake some how. free oil changes for a year a free upgrade or something. I would flip out on them. It's been a long time waiting !!! That's a big mistake in my opinion!!!

That royally stinks that your dealer screwed it up.

But, You must not have followed your order very closely if the first sign that the order is wrong is when the car comes in.

Did you not request a DORA when you ordered the car? Personally I went over my Dora 20 or 30 times thruout the wait making sure it was correct.

No i never got a copy of the DORA. I looked it over at the dealership and didnt notice any problems. I could have sworn it was for a manual but obviously not. Its the first DORA ive ever looked at...i should have gotten a copy

That really stinks! I'd definitely try to work out some kind of deal to allow the dealership to make up for the mistake. Mistakes happen, but that's pretty bad.

After I ordered mine another dealership offered for order an exact duplicate incase something happened or for some reason he could get me a better deal...a backup plan never hurt anyone.

The bad thing is the second dealership's car is supposed to be delivered tomorrow and the first one hasn't even been shipped yet. I really don't want to back out of the deal with the first dealership but I don't know how much longer I can wait! It's going to be hard knowing the exact same car is at the other dealership...

Well you decide if you want it not us. You might get him to give you the auto for free.

Personally...I'd wait for the Manual and try to get more of the price hedge off. Further, I'd call another dealer, explain what happened and see if they'll order YOUR car at a better price.

The first one from Dave Littleton Ford in Smithville, MO, the second from my dad's neighbor in Clinton, MO...Gregg Smith. The one in Clinton should be in this week...actually already listed in his inventory so you can look at the details.

Premium Black GT
Dark Charcoal
IUP
5-Speed
Wheel Upgrade
(forgot the shaker 1000 so that makes it a little easier to wait)

...if you're interested I can put in a good word for you.

Nick, thanks I sure appreciate the offer but I already ordered from Shawnee Mission Ford and I am impatiently waiting.
Ordered WV Blue with everything except auto and shaker.

Awesome...I've heard there are a few in KC now, but I haven't seen any yet. Almost hope I don't until mine's here...I was really hoping to have one of the first ones, but it seems like you're penalized if you ordered in May.

Go Chiefs! I have received a couple of calls Blue Springs Ford and Olathe Ford that have the Stangs. And also Shawnee Mission had a v-6 on Friday (already sold) It was a Premium (very nice) It almost drives me crazy that by the time I get there they are gone. I would still like to test drive a GT.
