My Gas Mileage, 2006 and 2007
#21
I actually don't take my Mustang to the gas station to be refilled until I'm within three-tenths of the amount it took me to fill it up the last time I was at the gas station. For example, on my last refill it took 16.812 gallons to fully refuel my car, so I won't refuel my car again until my gallons used display reaches about 16.5 gallons. As you can tell, I like to get the most out of my tank of gas before I refill. I'm clocking about 25.8 miles per gallon average just for informational purposes.

Yeah it's a mixture of highway/interstate cruising mixed with stop & go traffic in the city. Just highway alone I'm getting about 27 - 28 mpg and in the city I'm getting about 21 - 23 mpg. Those are higher numbers that I'm getting since I had my exhaust installed about two months ago. I'm working on getting my tuner and CAI for even more mpg improvement (and of course a little power). Since my Mustang is becoming more and more of weekend cruiser for me and not a daily driver, I'll probably hover around the 23 mpg area since most of my driving will be in the city predominately from here on out...but still better than the 19 I was getting before the exhaust was installed.

I get 19-19.5 mpg with combined city/hwy driving as well (07 GT with manual, 3.55s) and it only has 600 miles on it so far.
I keep stats on my cars as well, but the biggest issue with using graphs is that the driving style sometimes changes. If I have to travel to a different job site for a meeting, then my gas mileage is going to deviate significantly (all highway versus combined).

07 V8 automatic, mixed driving (mostly urban combo of city and surburban highway) nets me 21.6-22.1, pure highway with 80 cruise and AC gets right about 26. Pure stop and go in town is low to mid 19's. Heavy footed peglegging gets in the low 18's. This is for a stone stock car so far (dang it!...).
